Question on The Public Option" My understanding

is that President Obama and the Democrats wanted this but the repugs forced the ACA to be mandatory so as to turn public opinion against it. Could someone clarify and give me names of articles. A Freeper old friend of mine on Facebook is posting crap and I'd like a factual, intelligent reply. Thanks to anyone who can provide feedback!

I just googled "public option ACA" and got a number of hits. Perhaps you should start here:

And perhaps as Ptah suggested, you'll get more responses on this issue in General Discussion. Folks lazing around in the lounge generally don't want to tax their brains.
