Halloween in North Wales

On Halloween in North Wales, families made a bonfire called the Coel Coeth. When the fire was nearly extinguished each family member would mark a white stone and throw it on the fire. They said prayers going around the fire, then went to bed. If anyone's stone is not found in the ashes in the morning, it was an omen that the person will not see another Halloween.
