(47,675 posts)My big boy (cat) grooms the rabbit. They've all been in the same room and we've never had a problem. Critters just seem to know when things are cool.

(47,675 posts)... so he/she (we call him a "he" isn't into that, but he has ejaculated on my wife while being petted. He also had a MASSIVE period all over his cage. That's how I discovered one of his vaginas. He has two. The vet confirmed that - one on each side of his penis. Talk about fucking yourself! Fortunately we haven't had a litter. We took him in because he has no common sense. He was never afraid of humans and after the other kits left the nest he was still hanging around. If we hadn't taken him in he would have been eaten that night. From a genetic perspective that would probably be appropriate, but we view ourselves as guardians of the critters. He's almost six years old now and still quite healthy - and a major cuddle, although he did pee all over me last week - HUGE arc!!! He really had to go. Usually he gives me enough warning, but perhaps his bladder control is failing. He does use a potty.
My big boy (cat) likes to sleep next to him while he's cuddled into me. Did you know that bunnies can purr (well, cottontails like him and most European breeds). Having a cat and a bunny purring in different cycles is a really special thing. They're also warm.

(47,675 posts)We have a 70 lb border collie and even as a kit he wasn't afraid of her. That freaked her out then and it STILL freaks her out. She'll spend hours on the floor looking at him. He doesn't give a shit. No fear. His face is also deformed, smooshed in instead of oblong. His mother tried to kill him. The vet violated state law by treating him (good friend), but shaved the area and took care of the puss. The mother bit him. He would have died from the wound. We had to use peroxide and "neosporin" (in quotes because we use the store brand that's half the price) for about two weeks twice a day to let it heal. It's illegal in PA to own a wild rabbit (or anything else for that matter), but I don't care. We're guardians of the critters and that is far more important to me than what is legal.
wish I wasn't in an apartment, and had a place for more animals than my two dogs.

(9,580 posts)I live in a large two bedroom, with 2 bathrooms, formal dining room, and living room. And they are each 30 lb. dogs. Plenty of room for all of us.
