I'm little Ms Anal Retentive when it comes to organizing my albums and they all must have their album covers.
Recently I decide to put my music on Ipod Cloud - for $25 a year it can hold all the music on my ipod. Wooohoo!
Somehow about a 3rd of all my albums have been stripped of the album cover -
I'm going to be up all night trying to fix that problem. I need my album covers to look at

(2,232 posts)I've got WMP on my Windows7 box at work, and it not only loses the album cover art, it forgets everything about the songs. I currently have one artist (Unknown Artist) with one album (Unknown Album). Yeah, it's got 2,600 songs. Yay Microsoft!

(30,885 posts)I use it regularly...it is an anal retentive Website for music fans who are very, VERY particular about the quality of images they use in iTunes, to print CD covers, etc. Their rag line: "Dedicated to collecting and sharing meticulously scanned and edited album cover art, for those of us who are ridiculously obsessive about such things."
Covers are rated on a "star" system. Lowest resoultion of images is 600 x 600 pixels. Some are 1500 x 1500. Quality is beautiful. Whether I rip the MP3s from my own CDs or purchase MP3s from the iTunes store, I re-tag all of my music with album covers from this site:

(5,643 posts)I have to go through and click "get album artwork" for each one every time. For what it's worth, iTunes always remembers all the artwork, even the stuff I had to find online and add myself. PS I'm just as bad about my artwork.

(95,337 posts)After going thru everything up to the letter F I noticed something with Robert Fripp's Exposure. That's one of the few albums where I just have one song (I need to get the album but can't find it). Here it turns out the artwork was in there and after clicking on the song it loaded the album artwork.
Next album was the Fugees "The Score" and I had to open the album and right click on one song - the rest of the album picked up the cover.
Weird weird weird.
What else was weird was the randomness of how the issue occured. The one constant - nothing I bought from iTunes was missing the cover. However, songs from CDs I own, CDs I've borrowed from friends or the local library and albums downloaded from Amazon's MP3 site - those were the ones that could be missing album covers but even then not consistantly. I had to replace a slew of bands in the B-C range. Then I was fine until I got to E and that was bad thru mid-G groups. Then it was fine again until I got to the end of the Led Zeppelin section and then stuff was missing thru the O.
Just weird.
But fixed - finally!

(21,020 posts)Last two times I decided to update my iPhone using iTunes, all my apps disappeared from my phone, and my phone locked up.
One thing I hate is that when I get a new app, it's through my phone, and unless I also get it separately on iTunes, iTunes syncs from it to my phone, not the other way around.
Now I absolutely refuse to let my iPhone associate in any way with iTunes, not even for updates.
Haven't had trouble with the music part of it on my iPod (so far).

(13,805 posts)This is me: Add folder for album (with pix of cover inside like normal), then scroll to added album and select all songs, select get info, click on empty pix area, navigate to pix, pix gets added to all songs in album finally, curse under breath, repeat.
Fucking Apple.
