My mother died

She was a wonderful mother, a good Democrat and a great singer. She helped people in AA for 45 years, she helped people in her Buddhist practice, me and people in general. She died at home with me her family and friends and her cat. I held her when she died and now i know the best way to tell your mother thank you for giving you birth is to be there in her death. It was the worst day of my life and i wouldn't miss it for the world. She was 73 she died on Easter Sunday April 20. I will now share her music with you.

Such a wonderful person left us too soon.

I was not there when my died suddenly and way too young--totally unexpected. And, boy, did I kick myself.

But, I am myself a mom and I can assure anyone else who missed being there, or may do so in the future, any expression of love from one's offspring is precious. And, absent extreme situations and people, even if nothing in particular is said or done, we know you love us. We know.

But, you were blessed to be there and she was blessed to have you there.

I was with my mother when she died six years ago. My father and two brothers were there as well. My father was with his mother 25 years ago when she died on her 86th birthday. She had been ill for only about two weeks.
