Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsJust got Hulu-not very impressed...How long for last nights Simpsons to be available??
I was hoping for better-the fact they add commercials to the episodes you are paying to watch made me want to cancel.
And I checked earlier today & last nights Simpsons/Family guy episodes were not up yet. As of now they have the latest Bobs burgers but nothing else.
Anyone know when they re-air programs etc..?
I'll probably ditch it & stick with Netflix which I am fine with-but I have a few more free days to decide.
Thanks.

(22,000 posts)Get your content when you want, where you want, at the price you want.
Also Fox programs used to be on an 8 days from air delay on Hulu. Don't know if that's still the case.
We watch Comsos on Hulu the following week after it originally airs.

(2,533 posts)So far I am getting the hang of it.
I have the antenna TV which is not bad in my area. But the Sunday funnies is a family thing & I discovered our Fox channel goes bonkers after the sun hits the horizon.
I was happily watching John Stewart & Colbert the day after. Works for me...
I did a wiki search on bit torrent & basically I'm lost. \
I also use JustinTV to watch the cable news-fairly reliable & free.
I used to have a link to over the web TV sources but most have died or turned sour.
Thanks for the suggests...

(370 posts)Essentially it has most of the stuff that's on cable. If you have cable, especially with a DVR, its pretty pointless. However, if you don't have cable, its worth it. It can replace most of the shows on cable (outside of sports) for 7.99 a month. That's worth it to me. I cut the cable cord years ago, and have rokus on the TV. I know hulu has most of their stuff for free on the website, buts it worth 7.99 a month to have it on my tvs through the rokus. Netflix + Hulu for 16 a month is a hell of a lot better than 60-100 bucks a month for cable.

(2,533 posts)So yeah the whole idea was ditching cable.
And like I said-its working for me. The fee is a pittance compared to cable & I really really really dislike Comcast.
Did I mention I hate Comcast?
Just about anything to get rid of them is what I would advise. Lucky for my family I think it has been an upgrade.
But it took over 6 years of no competition before I had a better choice. I'm with Frontier & no problems with the service.
Cheers!

(48,217 posts)1. You can get the entire Criterion Collection of foreign and independent films
2. You can find an amazing assortment of British, Canadian, and Australian TV programs, better than Netflix, IMHO
3. You can find other kinds of foreign TV, such as French, Scandinavian, Latin American, Korean, and Japanese
4. There are some terrific nature documentaries from the BBC
Who needs cable? Most of it is junk anyway, and anything that is worth watching shows up on Netflix, Hulu, or iTunes anyway.

(28,552 posts).... to watch mostly old tv shows. It's ok, but on my Roku it has the worst user interface I have seen for any of these services. I wish the donkeys that created this UI would look at Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, hell anything else, and make their UI some semblance of usable, like everyone else's.
That said, for the money it's not bad - I've seen lots of pretty good stuff I wouldn't have seen otherwise.
