But he has been known to crawl into the dryer, under the sheets of the made bed,in the bathroom sink, on any window ledge, or anywhere he might cause someone to slip and fall.

(50,130 posts)The other cat sleeps on a rug on top of a pillow on a table.
They do this until the daylight begins to break. Then they go to a table in front of the big picture window so they can watch any geese on the lawn or fishing boats on the river.

(9,808 posts)At least, that's her preference between 5 and 7 am.
Evenings, when we go to bed, she'll vulture over DH's face until he turns over and she can't stare down at him anymore. Then she'll lay on my legs, preferring to lay on the one that aches more.
She's very, very, very lucky that she is really old and we are highly indulgent of feline geriatric whims. Because if she'd done this when she was younger, she would have found herself either launched or locked out of the bedroom.
Daytime, yes, she sleeps in her cat beds.

(31,404 posts)but Mouse used to open a cabinet in the laundry room and
crawl in to sleep there. He mostly preferred chairs, though.
For the last couple of years of Simba's life, after we went to bed, he would come jump on the bed,
get on top of my husband's chest for a few minutes, then plant himself directly between the two
of us. He would sleep there all night, unless he decided to crawl under the covers to the foot of the bed.

(34,137 posts)He lurks close by or if impatient, taps me on the elbow (with or without claws out), and waits for a chance to jump in the chair. He especially loves to claim it while still warm
It's really inconvenient in the morning. I'll get up to get a coffee refill and he's in the chair curled up before I can take one step. Earlier today I put my tissue box in the middle of the chair to discourage him. He shoved it out of the chair and took the entire seat.
And he fights back. I have several cuts/bites/scratches on my arms from where he got me when I pick him up to relocate him. Now that the weather is nice and I have the windows open, you'd think he'd like sitting in the sun on the windowsill. The only reason he lets me put him there is that it is next to the desk chair so it's an easy step to take the chair back.
I may have to get me another desk chair and give him this one but I'm afraid the only reason he likes it is because I sit in it!
