How "uncool" are you ?

I'm not even sure my cell phone is a "smartphone". I only send texts to my older brother, because he sent me texts first.

I also have a land line and use my cell when I am in my car or when the power goes off at home.

19. I had a flip phone and I liked it. I could make calls, I could answer calls, it was small enough

to fit in any pocket and I never butt dialed anyone. Then the kids started up with "Mom, you need a new phone so it's easier for you to send a text", so I got a new phone. It is nice being able to check email and websites from my phone, but now the kids never call me, they just send short texts. Whadda ya gonna do?

I was uncool when being uncool wasn't cool....

I cancelled my data plan last year. Prepaid voice & text only. Should have done it years ago. What a waste of money and time.

18. I probably have the oldest cell phone on DU: 2003 - doesn't text or have a camera!

Drives my friends and family crazy.

But, my attitude is: I have a cell phone for my convenience.
Texting allows constant contact with everyone. Being an introverted recluse, I don't like that.
(I only play an extrovert on DU!)


But, yeah, I'm seriously uncool.
I write fanfic and, as stated above, "have all the feels".



In addition: I'm not on Facebook or any other social media site other than DU. Another thing that drives my f & f crazy.

I only use my cell phone for phone calls, and even then I use it only when we're on vacation or need to find each other someplace. The rest of the time it's turned off.

PS _ I know what a text is but have no idea how to do one.

I learned how to do DU today with my semi-dumb flip phone, I was proud of myself.
