The skating action was a little less brutal than I expected.
There was more stategy than I thought there would be.
The scoring is confusing to me,
and it seemed that there were as many officials as skaters.
The two announcers did a very good job describing the action.

All in all, it was a great evening with my daughter and her extended family.

1. I LURVE Roller Derby! Rat City Rollergirls RULE!

I haven't been this year, and I have to admit it was more fun when we went to a big old hanger rather than Key Arena, which is just too uptown for Roller Derby, but The Derby Liberation Front is my team!

If you want to see a fun documentary about Roller Derby, in fact featuring the Seattle team, watch Blood on the Flat Track. It really is interesting.

Probably a lot more brutal than what you saw.
