True genius, such talent, and most impressively to me is that such a young person can dedicate such attention to anything, much less a classic as O Mio Babbino Caro.
Wow.

Nine Years Old!
I'm surrounded by people in their 40s 50s 60s, most of whom would give me a funny look, like, "opera? what is that? another one of your liberal schemes???"

And even though he's in his 20's now, my friend JD Simo was a blues wonder kid by the same age.
I saw YouTube videos by a kid named Downtown Danny Donato singing great blues.
My favorite, however, was Michael Junior who had a special singing light opera and classics on PBS when he was about 8 or 9. He's using his Dutch last name now but I can't find his latest work. He had the voice of an angel.
On the other side of the age bracket, I never tired of hearing Johnny Cash either. And Leonard Cohen has about the most mesmerizing voice I ever heard.

It was April 2009 when we heard Susan Boyle sing on Britain's Got Talent, and there was a discussion here of beautiful female voices. Samantha added Eva Cassidy, and I, too, always think of her as one of my absolute favorites.
