(205,552 posts)Wish they had more shows like that now (how old am I? ). They have entire episodes on YouTube, watched Quincy recently, as well as Lou Grant (though my grandmother worried that Lou Grant might give me bad dreams... )and The Odd Couple... These shows have stood the test of time.

They had loyalty to their actors, even if a complete disrespect for continuity
