Baby Moose - caught in gate

First, they saw this:

Then, they walked around and saw this:

the sweet story of a baby moose who got a little ambitious trying to hop a fence in the winter snow, and found his hooves stuck between the posts. Fortunately, two men came to his rescue, cutting down the wood so he could get free.

behind my house walks across my porch with one or two calves. They are about the size of burros, have prickly red hair and as as thin as a wisp.

A moose walked across my deck last night. I opened the door once and one who was there reflexed and kicked the wall by my door. The divot is still there. I remember one almost walking into my house.

They are something else. Very cool animals. The mamas will kill you to protect their babies. I love them. They aren't afraid of anything or anyone. He probably got stuck there trying to follow his mama over the fence.
