The Midsummer Coal

There was a rare coal believed to be found only one hour in the day and one day in the year. Midsummer's Eve at noon under the root of a mugwort or plantane. Whoever bears such a coal is safe from plague, ague, lightning, carbuncle, burning and any other malady.
