Is anyone else counting down the days until valentine's is over

My girlfriend broke up with me in December and now losing my job. I have zero care to be reminded I'm gonna spend it alone and broke. Sorry for ranting partially inebriated.

Hey,
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I am not counting the days, but I'm not a fan, because it just reminds me once again that I am alone...shrug.

for almost 5 years. Valentines Day for me is another day... It comes and goes, and I wasnt the wiser about it. I just keep myself occupied with Netflix, Gaming, or wandering aimless staring into the fridge ever 5 minutes to see if the layout has changed.

all V-Day is is just another day to pig out on candy. Last year, I had a girl who I was talking to (who happened to live in Ukraine), but recently, she told me that she had to move to Slovakia due to the violence going on. The site that we were communicating on (UADreams) unfortunately does not allow its users to exchange personal info. So, yeah...that's a rap.

Personally, I don't think about Valentine's Day at all any more. I'm old and single and therefore invisible, and there's no way in hell I'll get any attention at all on that day, so I don't even think about it. And that's fine.

Seems like Valentine's Day is a tough one whether you are in a relationship or not. My ex wants to hang out with me on Valentine's day...ugh. Not going back there.

I'm really looking forward to spring and summer this year, because I have a lovely spot to which to vacate for long weekends, take pictures, maybe grow things!

I wouldn't mind spending time viewing winter at the cottage, could be lovely, but probably too windy and cold. Still in the northeast, so I've still got winter! Snowing now! And yes, snow appears very peaceful.

During the winter for a week to escape the city. They never went there in the winter so the house was all mine it was the few times I could shut my mind up may I ask where you cabin is. On a side note I'm thinking in moving back to NYC now that I don't have much keeping me here my step mom is in good enough help to take care of my dad by herself now, no job here, and honestly Houston isn't terrible but it's not home.

My brother's in NYC at the moment, where I was born (as was Dad!) and he's there on business, expects to fly out tomorrow, we'll see if THAT happens! He THINKS he's going to Florida, and after that, back to his freezing home in Iowa!

My cottage is in southern MD, and I spend much of my time in the DC suburbs of MD, where I am now. Photos of sunrises and sunsets I've taken at the cottage are in DU Photography group.

I have to make a trip to Florida and see some family but that requires going to Florida and I hate flying I'm entirely to big for airplane seats apparently they don't believe people grow to six feet or more soo that means taking a train which wasn't a huge deal when I lived in NYC but from Houston it's a really crazy route to get there .

I'm 6'1 and built very big my shoulders if I'm sitting at the window take up basically my seat and three quarters of the seat in the middle. It cause me to have to pay an oversized passenger fee last time I flew which made me angry cause the seat belt goes around me without an extender which is their policy.

Turn off the radio when there's a Valentine's related ad (No TV so no worries there).. And i stay busy with the gym, practicing instruments etc . It's designed to make the already lonely just that much more so, so best to ignore the phony profit-driven sentimentality of it all.
