I am in my late 50s, and get request from AARP all the time.
Who here has joined and are the benefits worthwhile, pre-retirement?
thanks

(34,139 posts)Some places take one, some the other, but most take either.
I save a lot on my car insurance. I was already with Hartford with a big discount through my bank. Switching to Hartford through AARP with the same coverage was about $350 less. And when my husband had an accident last Labor Day weekend, totaling his car, Hartford was really good to us, making sure we got the pay out on his car, medical coverage (though he wasn't hurt bad, just banged up), and they followed up to make sure everything was taken care of. Hartford had put us into one of the policies with first accident no rate increase so our payment amounts have not gone up at all.
