In that 30-day trial, I watched everything that interested me, and then cancelled the subscription. It's absolutely worth the free trial.

Olympics start since I won't watch the Olympics and most regular TV might do reruns until the Olympics are over.

Their selection is more limited than Netflix or Hulu, but what they do, they do very well. If they feature a show, they feature all the seasons of it, not just a few, as Netflix or Hulu do. In some cases, you get to see new seasons (Foyle's War, Doc Martin) before they're shown on PBS or before the DVDs are released for sale (Midsomer Murders).

They also show some Canadian (Murdoch Mysteries) and Australian (Phryne Fisher) programs, documentaries, comedies, and miscellaneous dramas, many of which have never been shown on U.S. TV. At present, they have exclusive U.S. rights to 44 different series.

They add new shows on the first Monday of each month, including new seasons of the shows they already feature.

They're a branch of the Acorn company that sells foreign DVDs and British bric-a-brac in the U.S., so you also get free shipping and members-only sales, such as $9.99 DVDs.

I subscribe to Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Acorn, and they complement one another nicely.
