Something good to know for kitteh lovers: Miralax is a safe laxative for cats in SMALL doses.
Miralax is the expensive, OTC form of polyethylene glycol. It is said to work well as long as the cat doesn't suffer from nerve damage or have a physiological obstruction. For those conditions you still need to see a vet.
Give them about 1/8 teaspoon per day and it will help soften their stools up.
But whatever you do, don't tutch the but!
