Listening to 'Synchronicity' by The Police on vinyl right now...
I think I agree with the commonplace assessment that this was their weakest record, but "weakest" in the case of a band this good sure as hell doesn't mean "bad." If nothing else, they broke up before they could've potentially started sucking - I suspect a late-80's Police album wouldn't have been unlike Sting's rather bland solo material of the time.
