Anyone here know what this is?

Sorry it's blurry. I couldn't get it any clearer.

The picture is a crop of an official police dept. crime scene photo a friend of mine got hold of and emailed me. The light-colored object was found in the remains of an arson fire near her house. Law enforcement won’t say what the object is.

Anyone here know?

The letters on what we think is a label appear to be REG or REC or REO.

trying to come up with words that contain REG or REC or REO, and one REG word we came up with is CHIVAS REGAL brand whisky, but the labels we've seen for it aren't on the bottle sideways.

Edited to add CHIVAS and change "bourbon" to "whisky."

The second six is burnt out but the shape is a US Highway sign and the text at the top of it would say US. Like this one except certain states and trademarks use a two-tone sign or signs that say "Route" instead of "US"

The identifier to key-on is the route 66 sign to the left of the text.

It's not a Chivas or Crown Royal bottle.

Route 66. The REG could be Registered Trademark.

You can probably look it up on any site that carries Route 66 memorabilia.

picture in my OP is definitely a label for some kind of Route 66 product.

I can see the first 6 in my photo, and a similar border around the label. Maybe the REG in mine is for REGULAR FIT.

Thanks!

that beneath REG in my OP photo, there's a horizontal bar followed by what could be a corner of the letter F for FIT as in the jeans photo you posted.

Maybe in the OP photo "ROUTE" has been replaced by "USA" or something else. I've seen Route 66 merchandise for sale online with state names where "Route" ordinarily would be.

Thanks for posting the jeans photo!
