But I digress: The "Academy" offered to give Maestro O'TOOLE an "honorary" Oscar, and he declined (GRACIOUSLY), saying (at age 80s), "Oh, no, perhaps I can still EARN one?!1"
Th'other one who should have one (as opposed to "needing" one) is Doris DAY.

(28,945 posts)Where O'Toole was hosed is The Lion in Winter. Cliff Robertson won for Charly. Decent actor, so so film. Neither in the same time/space continuum with Lion and Sir Peter.
