since I hung up once when I could hear phone-bank sounds in the background (and they didn't answer immediately), and they never leave a message -- unlike people who aren't phone-banking.
Does anyone know who they are? I might answer if was the Senate Democrats . . .

It will usually lead you to a multitude of sites that will tell you who it is.

(109,000 posts)4. I did. Apparently lots of different scams come from that number,
with accents that sound Indian. Someone said the phone calls appear to be forwarded out of Florida. Maybe that's why they're ignoring the Do Not Call Registry.
