At least that's the theory, I think. I'd wait and see what their durability is long term, before I shelled out 5 times the price of a normal set of blades.

...but I haven't seen any posts by someone saying that happened when they were using heated windshield wipers.

The 3 point or multi-point blades leave streaks way to early in their life.

I am still looking for one that does not chatter on a windshield when it is not straight out raining. I have automatic wipers and sometimes it drives you nuts when there are a few drops and the wiper moves.

They don't cost that much more and while they are not perfect they are better than regular blades.
Winter blades have a rubber boot over the complete wiper assembly to prevent ice buildup. Sometimes I reuse them the next year.
