I've submerged my plane (RF-84/F) into a heavy cloud deck like that until just the cockpit was out of the clouds.
Couldn't see the wings any more.
Just surfing the cloud deck.
It was magical.

...and it still amazes me. My first flight ever, the sun was setting on a cloud formation like that and the colors...oh.
