(5,946 posts)Apparently they were supposed to die when they were chicks that we got at Easter, but 4 survived to be old enough that my mother sold them to a farmer and they got to live their lives out at the farm. that night we had chicken for dinner.

(6,154 posts)We had a mouse, hamster, and hedgehog for only short periods. Our good old loving Josie (Lab/Doberman cross) was the only real pet we got really close to
