She is the kind of cat that flops on the ground right in front of you, on the couch next to you, the top of the fridge etc. All in the name of attention.

But I love them. They and my black ones are so expressive.

Just look at the weary expression!

My dog, Gizmo, makes a bee-line for whatever chair in the living room becomes available, then plays possum whenever the person comes back to sit down. Same for the bed. His self-esteem is so high that "pecking order" has no meaning to him; if he grabs a spot, it's his. You snooze, you lose.

We've got to sign them up for acting roles!

Izzie also can do this long, agonized sigh that always cracks us up. The other two, and the dog, always look at her like she's nuts.

Have a penchant for black cats. I've had two, one for 12 years and one for 21 years. Both were small females.

Ralphie is different. Calico, black, orange streaks, white paws, belly and chest. No tail. Jacked up in the back. Thick and heavy with squishy extra skin from her back legs to her tummy.

Ralph has a black face, white whiskers, and "A Clockwork Orange" face markings. I can't post pictures.

My male starts SCREAMING between 4:30 and 5:30 a.m. I'm an insomniac. I normally don't fall asleep before 1-2 am. And, when I say SCREAMING that's exactly what it is. Every...single...morning I catapult from the bed one heartbeat away from a massive heart attack wondering how the banshee got into the house and why did I give up on Christianity just when that crucifix could've come in handy.

Once he starts, his one sister starts crying. His other, wonderful, sweet, patient sister just lets them do all the dirty work. She gets extra morning hugs and kisses for being the good child.
