The Walking Dead 4.6 "Live Bait" (Spoiler Alert)

"Group members struggle to find their humanity while being constantly threatened."

Interesting note - my Dish Network has Jon Bernthal listed on tonight's episode. Flashback? Hallucination? Mistake by Dish?

Spoiler TV has a bit here, too, but I'll only include the link:

The comics are to dark for me.

Once I started to watch the show, I have really stopped reading the comics.

I blame the guy who wouldn't let Hershel check his kid.

That kid turned into a walker that bit his father and killed the woman with friendly fire shot.

Those two able bodied people could have been a big help to Hershel.

To dark.

The show is dark but not nearly as bad.

If the show was like the comics I wouldn't watch the show.

I would never say I had a lot of guns.

Lying about his name.

Who are these women.

These women talk to much.

Rule one in a walker world, keep your mouth shut with strangers.

The women said they just stayed waiting for the National Guard to show up.

They had all the food, and guns.

They seemed to have made it so far.

Now the Gov shows up.

I am not going to look at a nursing home the same again.

A story line has to be set up to bring the Gov to the prison.

Also to make us wait for Rick to tell Darly about Carol.

The two women were rather stupid.

They must never have left the the apartment.

They had no idea that dead people came back as walkers.

Or how to kill them.

The two women seemed so helpless.

We are used to the women at the prison kicking ass.

These two women and the little girl would be walker food without the Gov.

I really don't like the Governor. I really don't care about his travails. I don't buy for a second that he's changed.

He found a new Penny (and 2 other followers). Pretty much says it all. Their helplessness feeds his psychopathology. As long as they need him, look up to him, obey him - they'll be OK. But if he sees them as disobedient ever- he'll feed them to a walker like he did Andrea. If he decides they have betrayed him then he'll turn on them. I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to kill off the mother and the aunt so the little girl is left with only him as the parent figure.

If New-Penny dies he'll blame Rick and Michonne in his twisted mind.

Rick because...

That somehow because they are living in the prison he wanted but was denied that they are to blame since New-Penny would have been safe if only he had the prison.

and Michonne because...

Well, she did take Dead-Penny away from him and shattered that delusion.

Even if New-Penny doesn't die the Governor will still want the prison for pretty much the same reasons. Gotta save his shiny New-Penny.

He has to kill Rick to take the prison and has to kill Michonne to protect the New-Penny.

Martinez only thinks he's in charge. The Governor knows how to bide his time; especially since he has a new mission. (See a penny, pick it up......and this penny is heads up...maybe) We'll see.

They are raiding camps to steal resources...the prison will definitely be at the top of the list of places to raid. For the Governor, anyway. And he knows how to manipulate people, so the others might decide to follow him and not Martinez.

I got the feeling from Talking Dead that Carol is coming back and that she will run across the Governor. Seemed to me that DM had a bit of a slip when talking about the possibility and changed his tenses rather quickly.

As an aside, Michonne has shitty tracking skills. The sicko was never far away and she still couldn't find him. Daryl should have gone out.
