overlooking my pasture. I found Luna staring up at it this evening while tucking Dahli in for the night.
I couldn't figure out what it is, but it dawned on me that maybe it's a fischer cat it's the right color and maybe the right size for a smallish one (hard to tell from the ground to the treetop exactly how big it is).
Anyway, once I had that thought, I smartly panicked and dragged Luna away. Aaaaack!!!! Fischer cats are pure EVIL!!!!

(14,881 posts)and part rhodesian ridgeback. They forget their own size. They hunt lions in Africa. I don't want him trying to tangle with a fisher cat. Luckily, whatever it was it was napping, not hungry.
I'll never forget back when Pollyanna still insisted on sleeping outside the barn at night. One summer night at 2am there was an absolute blood curdling scream outside my bedroom window. Both Jakey and I jumped straight up. It ended with a tiny mew. I couldn't sleep the rest of the night; I figured either it was a fisher cat scream, or Polly getting killed by a fisher cat. She was fine. Aaaack, it was an awful, awful scream. Like in a horror movie.
