I'm about to Go Postal.

Anyone know much about postage meter systems and, more than the hardware, which companies have good service?

Our current one is NP. System is fine, customer service sucks. This job was pawned off on me, and I am clueless.

When I get to work I'll look at the information and message you. I do remember that we had a five year lease. I believe it was with Pitney Bowes but I will check when I get to work. You probably need to consider:

1. What is your anticipated postage volume per year and ease of adding postage to your machine.
2. Maintenance issues if any (I don't remember any major problems with the machine we rented, just the normal maintenance stuff to keep it in operation).
3. Leasing vs buying. If you lease, how long a lease do you want.

I don't know where you live and what the chances are that you could get some company reps to come out to your business and talk to you about their machines.

This is just a quick list of thoughts that came to mind.

ETA - I just saw in your profile that you are in the Detroit area, hopefully you will have some different companies to consider.
