(12,132 posts)Because Martin Van Drunen is one of my favorite metal vocalists. But I think it's a great metal album.

(2,670 posts)2013 has been an interesting year for metal albums. It seems everything I've come across this year is either really great or complete crap there's not much in the middle. Which is good I guess except for a couple bands I liked put out albums that were in the crap side.

(12,132 posts)Hope he swings by FLA.
For the last several weeks I've been mostly playing the new Carcass, Gorguts, Broken Hope and now Hail of Bullets. Love 'em all.

(2,670 posts)I've mostly listened to things I hadn't put on in a long time . Like the black house by krieg and a call to arms by gospel of the horns

(12,132 posts)I like them but I've seen them several times. The only show I have in my radar right now is Morbid Angel at the Beacham in December. They are doing Covenant in its' entirety plus selected old stuff.

(13,985 posts)And what is your favorite black metal song ever
Arcanetrance
(2,670 posts)The serpents chalice. But that being said if they rode on continues to grab me like it has it'll enter that equation. As far as favorite song in the entire genre is really complicated for one I know it's not even close to the best song ever written but my favorite is broderskapets ring by Dimmu Borgir. That song holds a really special place cause it's the first black metal song I ever heard and it reminds me of my cousin who got me into metal period and now he's sadly dead. What about you
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)He is not dead. Souls don't die.
He is in the same place with Jon (of Dissection) and probably enjoying every minute of it.

Unrested souls , chosing the unknown over mundane.

(2,670 posts)Together. I used to have a lot of books on the occult I miss them alot I gave them to a friend to keep safe before I moved from NY to Texas. Amusingly as far as cats I had a cat for about 13 years named mephistopheles. If you like nature I have some beautiful pictures I have to upload to the computer. I took them in Buck Hill Falls PA. Which is in the Pocono mountains.
darkangel218
(13,985 posts)Don't regret the books, they're in your heart.

(13,985 posts)I just couldn't watch Watain from far away. I love them too much. I know Erik personally . He is just as amazing in person as in onstage.
On edit, haven't talked to him in years
