(4,909 posts)I'm not much of a dancer but I love to watch people that can. Big fan of Lindy-Hop/Charleston myself.

(17,204 posts)... he's the only one not wearing sneakers. And it looks like he does a full split, although the audience heads obscure it.

(3,709 posts)WOW... that was amazing. One take??? No rehearsal??? Wow....
I love dance and this was spectacular. Agree on those splits at the end; what terrific shape those men had to be in to keep that level of effort up for that entire routine.
Thanks for sharing!

(17,204 posts)... if you watch closely, you will see that on several of them they do not touch the floor with their hands, nor use their hands to straighten up. That is incredibly tough.

(17,204 posts)A 1965 TV broadcast. Fayard is 51 and Harold 46. I say to myself, "Okay, guys, I'm sure you'll put on a good show, but you won't be doing any splits in this one." Wrong.

(46,736 posts)There were lots of different camera angles. (I think it was Desi Arnaz who started shooting the I love Lucy episodes with three running cameras) And at the end it looked like there was a complete stage change.

(17,204 posts)According to Fayard himself. And the film was made long before "I Love Lucy" started airing.
Now, as for the TV routine, can't say.
