(1,555 posts)I bought a different cover/keyboard combo and the thing is heavy, not Bluetooth and just clunky - it's great for protection but for keyboarding it wasn't great.

(8,217 posts)The swype function makes things go so much faster.
It is still a massive pain, but I find it better than having to tip-tap every single letter with the iPad. (Yes, I work with an iPad now and then. I gave it to my mother though since I thought it was a massive waste of time with its inability to handle downloading documents from sites and attaching it. You have to do a work around for that, last time I checked.)
I still prefer posting anything on an actual compy, but in regards to typing, that swype function seems magical.

(9,808 posts)Though I much prefer using the bluetooth keyboard, I don't mind using the onscreen when I can place my ipad flat. However, I have small hands and fingers, and I'm much more comfortable on a 75% or 91% (netbook or laptop) keyboard than a full size, no matter what machine I'm using. And I kind of like the zero-force required to use the onscreen.
I HATE thumb-typing, though.
