Sorkin's writing and John Spencer's acting; masterful. Simply breathtaking.
I think Sorkin made a mistake having all the staff members repeat the mantra: "I serve at the pleasure..."
Having one of them say it and the others nodding and/or adding "Damn right!..." or something would have been better. It nearly ruins one of the greatest moments in the history of television drama.
"We're going to raise the level of debate in this country; and let that be our legacy..."
