Chinese urged not to pick noses when traveling to other countries

I couldn't make this up if I tried. I found the story on the nbc news site.

http://www.nbcnews.com/travel/new-guidebook-chinese-tourists-warns-against-nose-picking-8C11320196

I lived in China for a few months and the amount of nose picking was disturbing. During a dinner out one night, our waitress seemed to be trying to scratch the back of her brain.

I sometimes think that their fingers are stuck in their nose.

They never, ever cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze.

I observed the same things in the Asian community in Atlanta.

Pointing these things out make me feel racist, but W. T. F.

who was just sitting there reading a book. I looked back and he had his finger up his nose to the second knuckle. The next thing I knew he had this huge "fishing worm" dangling from his finger. It disappeared under the table. I vowed from that point on to not sit too close to the table or cross my legs when I worked least I inadvertently get "slimed".

It's not racist when their culture has no taboo preventing it. I guess you could rank it up there with haggis, hog calling, etc...... And you are right.... WTF!
