Sometimes, I wonder if a bunch of people can buy something like that as a group, and then fix up the inside and use it for a Holloween Party that people would pay in to.

People start up their own "haunted attractions" that way. Hopefully, this house will be put to some sort of use. I can see how beautiful it was in it's day.

What the heck. Might be a little too late for this year, depending on the work that needs to be done.

I knew a bunch of hippies that lived in a house that looked just like that. It was in rural central Ohio, a few miles north of Columbus. They said the house had no insulation and was freezing cold in the wintertime. Diane named the house "Hagitha". Bet you can guess what their cash crop was.

Imagine a house telling the tale! It could start from the builders of the home--a family so proud of what they had.The kids played in the attic and hid little toys. A decade later comes the Depression and along with it a house now empty. Criminals discover it as they are in the midst of finding place to hide. Where kids once stored toys is now a place to store weapons, cash, stolen gems. There is little appreciation for such a beautiful home. Another decade and along comes a war. The criminals are gone and a young couple move in with hopes of repairing it back to its original state. The war has other plans and he is shipped off to war. He doesn't get too far and the widow with two young kids has to put the repair work on hold.
I would think many homes of our past could have similar stories to tell. Of course many writers of ghost stories could find haunting tales just as easily.
