Thank gawd I don't work for the man downstairs.

I live above a snob-wanna-be gourmet food shop. He is berating his new employee right now. Screaming. One f-bomb after another, something about letting something dry and "THAT'S YOUR F***ING RESPONSIBILITY!" The guy goes through employees like toilet paper because he treats them about equally. Simultaneously he is phony nice to customers unless they try to take a picture inside the store or commit some other petty offense.

There is something about bullies that just bugs the crap out of me. This guy only hires petite women and young gay men and he is a 6-4" hulk getting on in years but very used to throwing his weight around. They last about 3 month each. Oh here come some more...

"IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THEN GET THE F**K OUT! DO YOU HEAR ME?"

About 5 months back I went down to ask them not to pour out their mop buckets in the backyard and he just started screaming at me immediately -- "Get the f**K out of here! Don't make f**king assumptions about f**king shit you don't know about!" I'm no snowflake and I expect him to go ape shit so I just go right on talking about the problem. He just screamed some more so I invited him to hit me. He says "why? so you can sue me?" I told him coldly "no, that's not what I have in mind." He went back in to his store and called the police (?) I saw the police report on the incident, the cop who wrote it doesn't seem to like him much. I was never interviewed but the cop got the story right somehow. Cops HATE being told what to do and this guy starts every other sentence with "You should..." They doesn't pour out mop water in the backyard anymore.

There are 2 businesses due to open soon which will compete with his little fiefdom of rip-off. I hope they crush him like a grape so I can get a human being for a neighbor soon. Such bad energy.

Sounds like there is a job opening today if anyone is interested.

I'd do anything to be able to move home. Given I'm not a young gay man or a petite woman. I'm actually knowledgeable about bourgie gourmet foods though.

DC is a swamp filled with poisonous snakes; a statement that is both metaphorically and literally true.

"the man downstairs" meant The Devil.

Which could actually be true, now that I think of it.

Anyway, here's what I would do...get some movie footage and post it on You Tube.

Or keep as evidence, just in case...like for the next time he calls the cops and...who knows...tries to falsely claim you hit him or something.

I like that. I once had a guy who wanted to cheat me out of money for a job I had done. I told him on the phone that I was coming over for my check. He says "Oh, you wanna play hardball?" I said "Yeah, I'll bring the bat." When I rang his doorbell he had the check in his hand.

Getting physical is never worth it and ANYTHING can happen. Btw, in many bars they have a baseball bat under the counter and they call it "the peace maker."

May cooler heads prevail everywhere.
