Women...

Changing channels tonight, i saw not one woman, a lot of scrawny overly painted girls but not one woman other then playing in an aged matron role.

So of course I hit netflix to watch my old shows and have to wonder, when do over paid actresses learn how to feed and nourish themselves?

these days. You have to be so much thinner than I ever was when I was thin. You have to wear cocktail dresses. Ridiculous. And I'm only talking about the female newsanchors on CNN. LOL!

the most horrific stories ticks me off too, I know reading off the prompt is part of the job but seriously, if your'e a decent person, you don't show your gums while reading a story about a massacre!

Focus groups say it makes the audience feel more safe and comfortable in the face of tragedy.

I always wonder where they find enough sociopaths to make up a focus group. Normal people don't think that way.

"Today in Russia, a sea monster killed eleventy-million people but it's okay because here at CNN, we're still smiling!"

well more then a bit. I am not sure if why is because it means you can "soften" the news or why anyone would want to!

Surely a grin will not effect the reality, that they study it enough to figure out how to make it less disturbing is weird.

The worst newscasters are the female cardboard cut-outs on the Fox News Channel. They look like they were made in a factory.

The male newscasters on FNC are all loud, obnoxious idiots that probably drink every night until they fall face-first into their furniture pieces and break them in half. Big, loud doofs.

see that as much as news anchors who seem to switch facial expressions on and off like a lightbulb.

Bad story = what looks like a fake look of pain

Good story = what looks like a fake look of happiness

How about something in between? Neutral.

I don't recall Huntley and Brinkley over-emoting.

Nor Walter Cronkite, even as he struggled to keep his wits about him when he announced to the country that JFK was dead.
