Fun car. I had a 4-speed '68 hardtop for a while in HS. Those cars would flat get with the program!

It sits forlorn alongside the house awaiting the day when the girls go to college and I can give it the love and attention it needs. It still fires up on the first try every time. I tried my hardest to kill it in a suicide pact, but the fucker just wouldn't die.

Second car I ever owned was a 1966 Chevelle Super Sport (SS) 396 cid, 4 speed, Fire Engine Red, black tuck and roll interior. Engine was blue printed, punched 40 over, heads were ported and polished, high rise manifold, Holly 4 barrel double pumper carb, 3.50 rear-end, Saginaw side loader 4 speed with a Hurst Competition shifter, of course it had headers with 2-1/4" exhaust pipes coming off the collectors to cherry bomb mufflers with turn down tail pipes.
You could hear me coming from 2 blocks away.

Really loved that car, couldn't afford to drive it these days, what with the cost of gas and all.

Go get another one. Doesn't have to be a daily driver. Actually my 442 was a daily driver, but I was young, so I didn't give a crap.
