really wondering, it always gets close.... any one that hasn't bought a ticket would you buy one then? the numbers are staggering

which has happened in the past, I don't think it would get up past $400 to $500 million. But, it is possible.

When it goes past $200 million or so, people start going crazy and buying more tickets than usual, offices have powerball pools, people from surrounding states buy tickets, etc. From what I've seen in the past, almost every possibility is covered because there are so many buyers when it gets up to that $400+ million range. I think it was over a 99% chance for the winning ticket to have been drawn for some of those big jackpots.

4. I saw that the mega millions was going to something like 76 numbers

so that may be the thing that gets it over a billion.
