2. Retired truck driver here, I hate that when that happens. One

time in the early morning hours I pulled off onto an exit ramp and parked 10 feet or so behind another semi. Tired and sleepy I laid my head down on the steering wheel and took a 15 minute power nap. I went into a deep sleep, but when I woke up and looked through the windshield I almost had a heart attack. Hell I thought I was still driving and about to crash into another truck!

6. I woke up driving once. This was the result...

Not real fun, but me and my three buddies walked away. Went end over end and rolled twice. Weirdest thing about it was "War Pigs" was playing on the 8-track the whole time as we were extricating ourselves, with steam hissing out of the radiator, and the guy who had been behind us walking up to the wreck telling his wife to stay back 'cause he didn't want her to see the bodies. I yelled out that we were alive, so get busy helping us out of the wreck.

9. Almost killed myself 20 years ago - yep, driving drunk.

Woke up going 50 miles an hour as I went into a ditch 30 feet from a telephone pole.

Truck broke the pole, and the top half of the pole (with a transformer on it)was dangling above my truck.

Never drove after drinking since.

ps: still have the truck - took 2 years to fix it, but it's a constant reminder of how close I was to going to another World.
