(53,339 posts)Have you ever seen the improv sketches by Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie on Drew Carey's show, 'Whose Line is it Anyway?'? A cat often figures prominently, especially in the 'Improbable Mission' sketches.
On a secret mission to launder the burnoose of a visiting emir? Finished laundering and drying it only to slip and drop it back into the water, and all the towels are already wet? "I know. The cat!" Very funny stuff.
And the brilliant Colin is a Scottish-born Canadian.

(53,339 posts)Wiki notes that the original American show ended in 2007, but: "The show was later revived in 2013, hosted by Aisha Tyler and airing on The CW, with the first episode of the revival airing on July 16, 2013."
Ryan and Colin are back, and as magical as ever. Wayne Brady and Greg Proops also sometimes appear, along with some great female comics and celebrity guests.

(5,604 posts)Thats cool. Drew Carey had fuck all to do with the shows awesomeness; it was mostly due to Ryan Styles, Colin Mochrie, Wayne Brady and Greg Proops for 95% of it.

Face it, it's almost fall.
What I love is Wisconsin in fall, in October.

October is my favorite month of the year.

Nice for the electric bill now, but if this means winter will be even colder,
I'm not looking forward to that.

(2,667 posts)I looked at the outdoor thermometer just as Washington Journal was coming on this morning, it was 48 degrees here as well. I had a fire lit, but had to keep it small or I'd have had to open the windows.
As they say in the TV show, 'Winter is coming'.

I just have to put an extra log in the woodstove.
I be toasty. Also, I have propane heat for backup - so If I want to sleep in - no problemo!
FYI - Where I live in Northern Ontario is only about 100 miles north of the same Latitude as St. Paul Minnesota.

(10,952 posts)Toby is an only dog now and does not like to be outside by himself. As a result, we take at least 2 walks a day (which is good for both of us) to make sure he does all of his "chores." I will have to buy him some little booties and a winter coat sometimes this fall so that we will not get too cold on his walks this winter.
