Not-so-minor quibble with dog food commercials:

Often they show people feeding large-breed dogs like Irish Wolfhounds and Great Danes by putting the food bowl directly on the floor. Large breeds are prone to bloat; you raise up the food bowl on something in order to prevent that. Even a cat person like me knows that.

There was a commercial for Pace salsa a few years ago where they talked about their custom strain of Jalapeño peppers. Except the actor held up a nice basket of Anaheim type chiles instead. Most people wouldn't know the difference, but those of us into gardening and cooking do.

guess it's what they get used to. When we tried to raise it, he just would not eat.

But he will drink water from a raised bowl.

for my Rottweiler. She has since gone to doggy heaven. But it has detachable legs so that I can use it for my Chihuahua.
