Thank GOD for Nat King Cole and Stubby Kaye! But as usual Lee Marvin shone. And Jane Fonda was...interesting. LOL!

He won Best Actor Oscar even though he doesn't appear until a third of the way through the movie...in a comedy/dual role!

The funniest part was when he sang happy birthday to candles burning next to a casket. Of course, he was drunk.

song came on the radio at the start of our annual family trek to LA for the Holiday. Mom, dad, twin, little brother and I fell silent in amazement. As we traveled south we must have heard that song at least 10 times on about as many radio stations between the bay area and Pasadena.

On subsequent family road trips at some point one or all of individually would start raping out "I...was...born..."
