Concert going question...1.5 hrs --typical time?

Just came back from the Cheap Trick concert at Ravinnia outside Chicago. It started at 7:30 pm and ended a little after 9 pm. No warm up act.

It just seemed on a beautiful night (outdoor) that that was a very early time on a Holiday weekend Saturday night to end a conert but I don't go to many and maybe this is what they do now.

Am I wrong to think this was way early time to be over? $60.00 for two lawn tickets.

Thanks.

but 30 bucks is too much for a lawn seat with no opening act. The nostalgia bands are old so often don't play much more than a an hour and half but they usually have an opening act. Rush, on the other hand, regularly plays for close to 3 hours with NO opening act. But they aren't touring only on hits from 30 years ago (they play them but they are releasing new albums and play songs from them too).

Most arena/amphitheater shows I see are 2 hours and an opening act that plays anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. But the vast majority of shows I see are in clubs and dive bars and it's not unusual for the headliner to play just an hour or an hour and half but there were 5 bands before them playing anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour...

and, of course, it's all relative...30 bucks is too much to me but maybe not for someone who reallllllllly loves Cheap Trick. When I saw them they opened for Robert Plant in the 80s. That was probably 25 or 30 bucks but they played their hits in 45 minutes and Robert played for 2 hours. THAT was worth it.
