My father has told me I better let him fill up before paying. My sisters have said I better talk and pay attention to them when they are in. If not I may loss a place to stay.

They say they are mad at all the times they said I snubbed them while working other retail jobs. When At work I am not there to socialize, related or not. I am there for the job. I am there to help the customers. Not play with friends.

I am also there to uphold the company standers. The company says everyone pre-pays he better be ready to do so.

They are also hinting at me paying more than 33 percent a month to stay here. They said I need to find a way to stay on stamps. They are out doing the same tricks again!

1. They aren't the ones doing something about becoming better off than they are.

2. I bet you can find a roommate situation for 1/3 of your monthly income.

Or possibly less. Keep an eye on Craigslist, and don't let your family bully you into thinking you're trapped. You're not. You can leave.

Furthermore, what you make in income is between you, your employer and (if you stick with SNAP) the county/state. It's nobody else's business.

You're doing what's best for you, and you're doing fine. Your family members' expectations are their problem, not yours.

Since I am hunting for a motorcycle, I have have been on the look out to kill two birds with one stone!

Most have been in Springfield though. That is 75 miles from Joplin. But something will come up!

And sometimes it helps to have external validation. I read most of your posts -- and oi, I think my family and yours are part of the same clone batch. It's not that they're toxic per se, but mine is a low-level toxin for me (like a mild allergy that gets worse with prolonged exposure.) Having the energy to stay strong and depend on one's own self-direction is hard enough, more difficult when everyone around you is denying your reality.

I have been looking in a mileage range due to some of the real small townships that are right next to Joplin. And I mean you walk 1 block and it ia a whole other town close.

My mom was a very liberated woman and she taught me to be to. The rest of the family are more conservative. I will keep going till I am where I WANT to be.
