Are you estimating your income tax refund?

I have just started and thought you know it is really a shame people have to look forward to this each year. If like me a lot use this money just to catch up from the previous year

I owe with the balance due in full by 8/15 otherwise interest will start accruing.

3. No refund ever again. I am on social security and do not pay taxes any more.

But just try living on social security. It isn't easy, but at least I do not have to dread April 16 any longer.

5. Why would anyone overpay the government to begin with?

Calculate your taxes based on your previous year's tax and pay close to that, or at least 90% of it.

6. The amount I owe or am due a refund is always under $100

I try to pay exactly what I owe out of each check. I don;t want to give them any money and I do not want to owe more at the end of the tax year.
