I think this is only the second time I have seen one in the wild (other than as roadkill)!
Spotted him checking fence along the railroad this morning.

yeah, he lives just across a dirt road right nest to a double set of train tracks, I don't think he gives a shit at all. saw him go in his hole and turn around and just sit there looking at me. watched him for about 5 minutes before the dogs started getting agitated and I had to leave. I know who would get the better of that match-up and it isn't the dogs.

(36,444 posts)I brought it home yesterday as just a cylinder. Stuck it in water, and it started opening within hours. Last night it was pointing downward, this morning, it was pointing up in it's true glory! It's alive.

(25,816 posts)The most powerful psychedelic I ever tried. Carlos Castenada wrote of this and, as a young lad, I was drawn to try it.
I ate three of the unopened flower pods and went on an incredible trip. Not again.
we ... er I mean, I know people would use a bit of leaf as marijuana-helper for shit weed or maybe ead 5 or 6 seeds!

(29,582 posts)Not that difficult:
Step outside your house, go east til you see the fucking Atlantic Ocean.
Last time I checked, Wisconsin wasn't in between Arizona and the Atlantic Ocean.

(2,820 posts)the nickname the Badger State has more to do with the lead miners that lived in dugouts in the sides of bluffs and hills of Wisconsin like a Badger.
In 1957 the Badger was officially adopted as the state animal.
I've never seen a Badger in the wild or even as roadkill in Wisconsin even though they are here somewhere.
Governor Scott Walker has proposed changing the State nickname to "The Lead Paint Chip State" because that was his favorite snack while growing up in the State and about half the States residents most have also enjoyed that special treat.

(55,014 posts)Good to see you! I am good. That storm turned out to be just crazy - we had an inch and a half of rain in about 40 minutes and the canyon ran bank to bank, washed out a bunch of stuff on teh way downstream and yet less than a mile below the house it didn't even sprinkle! about 5 miles downstream the canyon crosses a county road - it was sunny down there and water was gushing across the road, people were turning around to go back the way they came - and that was a good 2 hours after the rain stopped. A true flash flood down below.

(2,542 posts)I'm doing pretty well- my job sucks right now but I am looking for another one (I'd say I'm "underemployed" . My best friend is expecting his second kid in December and his first is turning 3 next weekend so we are all pretty excited about that! I'm getting him his first kiddie fishing pole an can't wait to take him to a neighborhood pond with lots of little sunfish.
