2:40 am Monday morning staring at the clock when you have to be at work in a few hours isn't fun.

.

as long as it's not continuous for a long period of time.

During my working days, there were times when I would not sleep for over 48 hours for one reason or another.

Did you know

That it is the WORRY over the loss of sleep that affects the next days performance/work - not the actual loss of sleep itself.

SO

Don't worry about it - but like I said, that's if it just happens now and then

If it's continuous, see a doctor.

Once, when I was a working foreman at a truck shop worked a 22 hour shift - THEN went out for a few beers, then home

Set my alarm clock for 3 hours sleep, I was pretty fuzzy getting up - wanted to wake up quickly - was living on a lake at the time -

wandered down to the dock and dove through the ice skin newly formed on the lake (November Northern Ontario).

THAT DID IT

Boy, was I ever awake!

I couldn't lie down because it made the pain worse. So much so that I thought I would be ill.

I drove around this town at 1 looking for an open convenience store so I could buy a soda (the caffeine makes the pain pills work better) but didn't find anything.

So I came home and suffered until I fell asleep. Today will be kind of a waste I think.
