With some sliced jalapeno on it and a touch of brown mustard.
NO KETCHUP!
There should be a law against ketchup in a hot dog.

Your probably the only person outside my immediate family who I've ever seen/heard mention it. I kind of thought it was something my mom made up.

Just the other day I made some egg salad and instead of pickles or relish I added some chow chow. It was actually pretty good.

It contains cabbage, green tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, carrots, and some kind of spice added to boiling vinegar water.

In my family when my mom made soup beans (bean soup) my family would mix it in with the beans in their bowl or plate.

I asked her about it and she said the origin (for her and her family anyway) was when the last of the vegetables were taken from the garden they were made into chow chow and canned for the winter.

I've heard of people putting really hot peppers in it, and some other things I don't remember. But yeah, I think almost everyone makes it differently.

They had all kinds of relish, jellies, and jams. It was near Gainesville and is called Jaemor Farms. That was the only place I've seen it sold. They had spicy and sweet.
