I just got back from seeing "The Conjuring."

It's about a family that moves into a haunted house and the paranormal investigators that help them. I really enjoyed it. It's spooky and has some pretty creepy scenes. If you like ghost stories, then you should check it out.

but when I go to see them, I just end up laughing at how stupid they are (examples: The Orphan, A Haunting in CT). Every one of these movies has stupid cliches and jump scares to the point that I can't take them seriously.

One movie that I thought was seriously good and scary, though, was the one with Daniel Radcliffe. It was surprisingly lacking in what ruins most other horror movies for me.

How is this one? Is it cliched beyond belief (jump scares, 1D characters, cheesy acting, unbelievable or boring characters, "durr hurr then a skeleton popped out!" moments) or is it actually tense?

12. That was great. No gore and few cheap tricks, but the spookiest thing I ever saw.

I saw it on the stage in London. Half the fun was watching the reaction of the audience. I haven't seen the movie yet.

At least none that I remember. You'll usually know what is about to happen. It's more creepy and spooky.

I love Patrick Wilson. Hardly ever get to the theater but will check it out when it runs on the movie channels.

He was in Insidious which had some scary parts but then got kind of cheesy. Ending was good though!

11. I might try it. It CLAIMS TO BE based on a true story. In the movies, this is meaningless.

They can pretty much say that about anything and get away with it. They did with the movie FARGO.

However, it still might be an OK movie.
