The Obama Blend

I went to the local coffee shop to get my coffee beans tonight, and I noticed a sign for "Obama Blend." They've had it for ages but I never noticed before but I was hanging around longer than using waiting for a latte. I asked the guy what the Obama Blend was, and he said "half Kenyan and half Hawaiian Kona."

I said, you've got both bases covered there, birthers and the rest of us.
He said during the election people would ask why why they didn't have a Romney blend. I said, well Romney doesn't even drink coffee. The guy said: "Yeah, I felt like saying have a bag of salt." Mind you we were in St. Paul, Minnesota, perhaps the most Democratic city in the entire US.

I thought it was pretty funny. At least it's not all Kenyan. That would be the Obama Blend in a red state.

are expressing their liberalism these days. Like the 'our window will get fixed later on today but what about the justice system' re Trayvon Martin. Or Ian's pizza during the maddison demonstrations. Like it finally is okay to be liberal again. And that feels so good. I missed liberalism.
